Take a folder out.
Bring it back.

A separate application. The app proposes who to protect, you approve, you confirm the fake names, you create copies, you bring the identities back. It is not the single-file identity labelling in the Editor. It is not a certificate of compliance.

“The app proposes, you decide.”

The folder as the unit

An entire folder — not one file at a time. One table, one key, and the same fake names across the whole corpus: Dupont stays the same character from interview 1 to interview 40. We have found no one else selling it this way.

You decide

The app draws up a list; you remove, you add, you merge. The rule is stated without varnish: a name left off the list stays visible in the copies. Human review is not a safety net — it is the product.

The narrative preserved

Fake names that read like names — not [PERSON_1] labels. The output is two files per document: a Word file with every substitute in red for review, and a Markdown twin for the work with the AI. The details →

The way back, always

Restoration returns the real names — including in text rewritten by the public AI. And it never locks up: subscription expired, your tables and the way back remain.

The journey, in five steps

IDesignate a folder (or a file) — the app searches for the names. IIReview the list — remove, add, merge. IIIConfirm the fake names and choose your restoration key. IVThe app writes the copies — the originals do not move. VRestore when the folder comes back. Each step in detail →

Corpus processed: French — the airlock is sized for it (the Editor, which speaks five languages, is another product). Three systems from the very first installer: macOS, Windows and Linux.

Pricing

One price only. No student tier. On expiry, the tables already made and the way back remain; only new processing closes. Prerequisite: the automatic name search relies on a local AI assistant (LM Studio or Ollama) — without one, you write the list yourself.

What the software does — and what it does not

It is not an impact assessment done in your place, nor a certificate of compliance. It is an aid to pseudonymisation, in the GDPR sense: it does not replace a careful review. This is the product's risk notice.

Your data, your responsibility

You are responsible for the case file — solely responsible: the corpus, the table, the processed copies, what you do with them, where you send them, and their backups. The software is a tool in your hands: it does not pick your legal basis, does not decide what may leave, and does not replace your review. NMA Conseil never sees those files and cannot restore them: no one but you holds your data.

On NMA Conseil's side there is only the sale: email, PSEUDO-… key, subscription status, Stripe invoice. Details: privacy policy — Pseudo.

How long the tables live

As long as you keep them. The app does not erase them when the subscription expires: the tables already made and the return of the identities remain. Only new processing closes. Forgetting is a movement of your own: Start over clears the current session, and the bundles of copies already written — with their table — stay on your disk until you delete them yourself. The legal retention period for your folder is yours.

The review is yours to do. Palimpseste Pseudo is an aid to pseudonymisation, in the GDPR sense. It does not replace a careful review. You are responsible for the data, for what you do with it, and for its backups. NMA does not see your files.
